Number One Castle Gardens is a beautifully appointed and recently refurbished family home which is a grade ‘B’ listed building in the heart of historic Kirkcudbright’s Artist Town.

The house is conveniently adjacent to the romantic remains of McClellan’s Castle and within 2 minutes walk from the Marina and Harbour and all local amenities the town has to offer.

We offer two spacious bedrooms each of which overlook the castle, the small Greyfriars Church and the River Dee with it's harbour and bridge.

Anne is a professionally trained and award winning chef. Evening meals or suppers prepared using fresh local produce are available by prior arrangement. For examples of menus available, see our menus page.

If you are coming for an activitity holiday such as cycling, walking, golf or sailing, why not book into the Harbour Room and enjoy a relaxing Jacuzzi bath to ease those muscles or have an invigorating power shower to set you up for the night ahead.

Drying rooms and safe cycle storage are available on request.
